Puerto Rico (Grand Rapids Travel Photographer)

April 2019

At least once a year, I get to go somewhere exciting and I always try to take my camera. This time, the goal was rest and relaxation. A couple of times, I'm glad I left the camera at the hotel, but thankfully my mom told me to get it out a few times I almost didn't and I'm glad that I did! Check out some of the beautiful things we saw while in Puerto Rico this past month.

The Beukema Family (Grand Rapids Family Photography)

April 6, 2019

It was a little delayed, as our original session had to be postponed for quite a few weeks, but we finally got together in the studio with this awesome family!

The Beukemas are one of my favorites. I've been working with them since little Blake was turning "1" and I love watching him grow from year to year! He's gotten so he loves to help me pick out spots to do his and the family portraits. What a clever little guy, and chatty too! and this year, his baby sister, Kennedy, is a year old as well and both of them were having a fun time in the studio. With Zoey, too, of course!

Photographing kids is always a bit of a challenge, especially when they are young. But I love working with them when I do. Despite the millions of frames and lots of yelling to get them to look at the right spot at the right time, we always seem to capture some amazing smiles and funny moments. And these two cuties don't disappoint! It was also great to see Nicole and Brandon for another year. I hope to keep it up for years to come.

And though it was too chilly to do much outside, we did get a little vitamin D by the end of the session!

^My heart!

^I love that Zoey comes to every session now! :D

^Zoey doesn't LOVE kids, I think ;)

^Adorable Mommy photo!

^Yay! We never get to go outside!

Last but not least, since the kids really were pretty great, we did have a few incidents, and here are just a couple I couldn't resist sharing!
