A (Grand Rapids Boudoir Photography)

January 11, 2014

Another one of my awesome boudoir marathon girls is featured today as our last post for Boudoir Week. This young lady really knew how to use her gorgeous eyes to work the camera. I'm in love with that red lipstick as well. "A" is one of my sisters best friends and it was great to help her express her pure sassiness in this session. Amazing work, "A"!

^She's really rocking that red!

^Love this one!

Hilary (Grand Rapids Boudoir Photographer)

March 23, 2013

In order to fill up our boudoir week with ALL FIVE DAYS of boudoir posts, I had to find one more person willing to share. Well, Hilary stepped up! She participated in last year's boudoir marathon but wanted to hold on a little bit before showing her images. She kindly let me do so today! Hilary is such a gorgeous girl and did an awesome job at her session. We had the JW Marriott as our setting for her and I loved all the light, although we played with some flash shots by request as well! Great work (and thanks again!) Hilary.

^Love this one!

^Eye perfection!

Radine (Grand Rapids Boudoir Photographer)

December 13, 2013

Radine is quite a beauty. She had a very natural look and her hair was just so perfect for the session as well. And what a beautiful smile! I loved working with her, she was totally amazing all around. This was another gift for her hubby, so this session was from last year as well, but I think it was worth the wait! Way to work it, Radine!

^One of my favorites!

^Gorgeous eyes too!

^LOVE IT! You've got it, girl!

Stacy (Grand Rapids Boudoir Photography)

November 22, 2013

Today's session is from last year, during studio boudoir stretch. Stacy was getting the session done for her hubby's Christmas gift. A good idea, and I bet he liked it as well! Her outfits were super fun, cute and sassy, and she really rocked the session. Check out some of her images below!

R (Grand Rapids Boudoir Photography)

January 11, 2014

Two weekends ago, I held my annual boudoir marathon. It was a great day with lots of great models! As usual, after I finish editing, I'm showing off some of boudoir week on the blog for "Boudoir Week". There will be a new post every day this week of either boudoir marathon photos or ones from previous sessions at the studio.

Our first post today is just a quick one. "R" was our first model for the boudoir marathon and she was super fun to work with! But SHHHH, she's giving this to her hubby for their upcoming anniversary, so we've got to keep it a secret! And for that reason, this one will be short and sweet!

Glitz and Glamour Styled Shoot: Part Three

November 16, 2013

Time for our final installment!

Glitz and Glamour Styled Shoot

Finally, time to show off our models! All three of these ladies have posed for me before, and it was a pleasure to work with these great girls again. Karie has been one of my favorite models for a bit, and she was excited to work on this project with me. As the project idea evolved, we decided to get Ashley and Lauren in on it too. So as a new twist on the traditional styled shoot you usually see, with a bride and a groom, we decided to throw in the bridesmaids instead.

Though our bridesmaids did their own hair and make-up, we've got to give the credit for Karie's to Latesha at I GOT FACE Cosmetic Concierge. The artists did a wonderful job make that rock-like, glam attitude come through that works so well with Karie's look. Latesha was so kind of give us a little more info on what she did for us... "Because I GOT FACE is a cosmetic concierge service that brings the GLAM to you, myself along with hairstylist Elliot Yared, of Rubies Salon provided a sexy and sultry look on the model in hopes of visually encapsulating a night to remember. I used MAC pigments to create a bright and bold smoky eye to compliment a mauve nude lip on our model. And when it came to styling her hair, Elliot used primarily Surface Products to mold her “messy masterpiece”. When we moved on to styling the ladies so that their accessories would speak in volumes the way their unique bridesmaids gowns did. Once we worked our magic behind the scenes, the photographer was ready to begin bringing her vision to life. Shot, after, shot after shot… we were inspired. Art was indeed imitating life on set. So whether you’re a more traditional bride-to-be or bride who likes to walk on the wild side, we can give you the FACE of your dreams for an extraordinary ceremony that will be picture perfect." (For booking information please contact Latesha Lipscomb)

The sparklicious dresses (yeah, I think that made up word describes them best!) were phenomenal and the girls really rocked it. We did a few of Karie in a white wedding dress (as you saw in our last post), but it wasn't working with the vision. Not to mention her long legs were perfect in that short silver skirt! We used dresses by Badgley Mischka and Scala (provided by the lovely ladies at Renee Austin Weddings), and they were phenomenal.

Mixed with the gorgeous bouquets from Events by Ludemas, I think we can definitely say that the shoot came together wonderfully! It was a blast to take the photos and it was a pleasure to work with all the great vendors and, of course, our beautiful models. Thanks all!
