The Yost Family (Mid Michigan Family Photographer)

October 20, 2013

Though the rain kept us away on Saturday, the cold on Sunday did not. I've worked with Jim, Erica, Logan and Alex before as well, so it was great to see them again. Logan and Alex are great subjects, and were great to work with for a second time, even if Logan is less smiley than last year... he's very serious, just like his dad! We were photographing at the same farm as the Boyd family, as they are both related to the family that owns the farm. Such a perfect setting! The cows were around, checking us out again, and even though this session was a quick one, we got a lot of great photos... again!

^Grabbing a little bit of that fall color again!

^Such cute little guys!

The Boyd Family (Mid Michigan Family Photographer)

October 19, 2013

After a lot of lovely fall weather, the crappy weather started in. It threatened to ruin my sessions for my trip back home, but we managed to squeak both of them in between showers. I had to cancel my first one on Saturday, but it cleared up in time for the second... the Boyd family were back again for more photos. McKenzie, who is 2 years old and adorable, was a happy little lady at the beginning of the session, although we had to start bribing her with a treat fairly early on. Not everyone loves their photo taken that much, I understand! She was a trooper though, even though she made it clear we were overdoing the smiling in her opinion. It was great to see Ashley and Curtis again too, we had fun wandering around the farm and finding cute spots. McKenzie was mostly interested in the cows, so we made sure to make a quick stop to see them as well. Even if it didn't last too long, it was a fun session!

^McKenzie is so cute!

^Pretty girl and pretty flowers.

^She at least started the session with a big smile on her face!

^Visiting the cows, she was pretty excited about them.

^She's a daddy's girl.

^Getting tired of photos, but still has a smile for her mommy.

^She's happy again after we bribed her with an Andes Mint :)

^The farm didn't have too much pretty fall color, but we found some!

Sneak Peek: Ben & Tina

October 25, 2013

I couldn't think of a better way to end wedding season this year. It was a great day with this awesome couple, and even though I stayed late and my feet hurt, I wouldn't have had it any other way! I also got to work with two of my favorite vendors, so even better. Thanks Ben and Tina, for helping me go out in style! Stay tuned for more soon!
