Emeralds & Bows: Part Three (Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer)

Wrapping up our Emeralds & Bows series is part three, starring the delightful duo of Faith and Jessica as our radiant brides. Their effortless embodiment of their roles added an exquisite touch to the shoot; Faith glowing with timeless bridal elegance, and Jessica bringing a fashion twist with her stunning suit, injecting a dash of sultry allure into the ensemble.

With the dreary clouds finally giving us a quick respite from the drizzle we had throughout the afternoon, a few of us seized the opportunity to capture a few shots outside the studios urban setting. And to cap off the day with an extra touch of glamour, what could be more fitting than a champagne tower and a celebratory spray of bubbly? Truly a thrilling finale!

Despite having recently wrapped up one wedding with another just on the horizon, this was a refreshing departure into a different realm of creative outlets. Collaborating with local photographers and vendors reminds me things we can accomplish when creative minds unite in a relaxed setting. The Emeralds & Bows shoot was definitely a wonderful experience and a reminder to myself to step outside of the box once and awhile.

Emeralds & Bows: Part Two (Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer)

In the second part of our Emeralds & Bows shoot, we mixed things up and swapped the couples around. This time, it was Adonis and Erick's turn to step into the spotlight as our second featured pair. And let me tell you, they owned it from the get-go with their undeniable style and charm!

We began by capturing the two of them against the backdrop of the sleek emerald couch and classic black wall. Erick confidently added a playful touch to the scene with the pink bouquet. Yet, it was against the soft, romantic hue of the pink bow background that these two really popped! The contrast to the dark colored suits created a visually striking scene, highlighting their individuality and flair.

And can we talk about the suits? Adonis and Erick looked perfectly sharp, with each tailored garment reflecting their unique personalities. You can see it, can't you? Together, they epitomized modern sophistication, bringing a touch of class to every shot.

It's clear these two were not just models; they were actors, effortlessly slipping in to their roles and bringing them to life. So, here's to Adonis and Erick, a duo whose style, charisma, and professionalism left a lasting impression on us lucky photographers at the Emeralds & Bows shoot!

Emeralds & Bows: Part 1 (Grand Rapids Wedding Photography)

Participating in a recent creative styled wedding shoot was an absolute delight, especially alongside one of the lovely ladies I journeyed to Ireland with last year, and a team of truly remarkable vendors. Let me tell you, styled shoots are no small feat. They demand meticulous planning and seamless coordination! While I wish I could orchestrate them more frequently myself, being a part of one as impeccably executed and organized as this was truly special. A heartfelt thank you to Love.Photography, Pave Wedding Productions and Seamless Planning for their outstanding work.

Every detail of the shoot was simply breathtaking, igniting a wave of wedding excitement that perfectly complemented my own spring wedding projects this year!

Throughout the photography session, we mixed and matched models to create a variety of pairings for our "brides" and "grooms". However, the initial pairing featured Faith and Adonis as our bride and groom, with Erick (my amazing MUA and friend!) and Jessica stepping in  as the groomsman and bridesmaid. I couldn't have asked for a more stunning group of subjects!

The entire shoot came together perfectly, and while there's lots more to share later this week, here are my favorite moments from part one of Emeralds & Bows!
