Sneak Peek: David & Megan are Married! (West Michigan Wedding Photographer)

Surprisingly, I had a sudden wedding this weekend! Megan and David had their engagement session last fall, and just this past week, they called and told me they were officially tying the knot on Leap Day. They asked if I could be there to photograph. Oddly enough, I was free for a bit in the afternoon and we were able to make it happen! Despite the CHILLY temps, they both looked great and while we definitely did "short and sweet" with the whole thing,  we got some fun shots and I need to share. More from these two, friends and family soon!

Zach & Aly: Engaged! (Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer)

I'm convinced it's just some weird twist of fate, but the day I had two engagement sessions scheduled at Fredrick Meijer Gardens, it was not only gorgeous outside (sunny but COLD!) but also we actually had snow on the ground. That was great as while we wanted to shoot Aly and Zach's photos in the greenhouse, we also were hoping to get some winter shots as well. Wish, granted!

These two are super cute together, and I'm more than thrilled to be getting to photograph their wedding in October. It was great getting to know the two of them a bit more and to enjoy some time at the Gardens at the same time. Looking forward to seeing the two of you again soon!

Andy & Lindsay: Engaged! (Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer)

Hooray for engagement sessions, am I right? I love them but winter is NOT the best time to do them, I'm afraid. Schedule perfectly all you want, Michigan's weather will have it's own opinion about your plans! I met Andy and Lindsay on a cold and wet-ish day. Sure, it was snowing, but I'm not sure the flakes were solid enough to really call snow. However, these two made it through without complaint and I love their photos!

These two aren't getting married until next year, so you'll likely see them again sometime later this year for a much warmer, nicer and more colorful engagement session. Who's in?

Grandma's Girls (Grand Rapids Portrait Photographer)

It's the very first post of the year! I'm starting out this year a bit slow but I'm totally fine with that. It'll get busy soon enough. But for now, here are some shots I did as a part of my mother-in-law's birthday gift from last year. She wasn't able to do the session until just now, but despite the wait, she loved getting photos with her youngest grandkids (who also happen to be my daughters, of course!). The girls aren't always super cooperative, and we had to bribe them with a trip to the donut shop after the session but we managed to do a pretty good job with the three of them.
