Jason + Jessica: A Wedding (Rochester Wedding Photography)

October 1, 2011

Jason met Jessica at a Halloween party, so I think October was a great choice for their wedding. Engaged back in April (although they’ve been dating for years now), they had a whirlwind trip to the altar, but Jessica seemed to have such a perfect handle on getting everything done and done well, it barely looked like it phased either of them. They chose a beautiful venue (Oak Arbor in Rochester, MI) with amazing light and views; they chose the perfect day (just enough sun and some great wind to work with Jessica’s AMAZING cathedral veil!); and they were surrounded by tons of family and friends throughout the wedding and totally fun reception.
The schedule was nicely padded to allow for a lot of family photos, and more than enough great ones of the bride and groom, although the chilly weather made us head in a little sooner than we could have. I just LOVE all the shots we got of Jason and Jessica. They really had a great wedding through and through, and I couldn’t be happier with it! I even got to see my parents, as they were in attendance, along with various other cousin’s I haven’t seen since Jessica’s brother, Ryan, got married in 2009.
I wish the very best to Jason and Jessica. Thanks for being such a great couple. Looking forward to putting together a great album for you guys! Next on my list!

^I really loved the location. Oak Arbor was a great venue.

^Jessica's dress was gorgeous and looked amazing on her. I love this dress shot too, one of my best.

^I noticed quite a few butterflies throughout the wedding.

^Jess's shot of Rande, Jessica's mom, lacing up her dress.

^ Our handsome groom getting ready.

^Great shot!

^Jason with his groomsmen... and groomswoman, Jennifer!

^Jess Furrow was at a better angle than me for these shots. Good thing! :)

^Haha, I HAD to include this one... Jess was just STARVING after the ceremony, so someone brought her some meatballs!

^Wind is blowing, the poor girls are freezing!

^When I first saw the veil, I almost fell over! They can be annoying, but perfect for photos!

^[Insert giddy photographer exclaimation here]
^Warm black and white is one of my favorite new actions :)

^Nice shot by Jess Furrow.

^These little dolls were on top of Jess's great grandparent's we

^Jessica (yes, another!) and Ryan, who got married just over two years ago.

^Party time! Enjoy, everyone :-)
