Brett & Remi: Engaged! (Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer)

May 26, 2020

Finally being able to get out and do a couple session for their engagement was a dream come true. Meeting Brett and Remi, finally, was a great bonus as well. They are such a cute couple with great plans for an intimate wedding ceremony later this year (which they planned BEFORE 2020 went crazy!) and it was great to finally get to spend some time with the two of them.

Their session started at their home, which is a big trend this year now anyway, and was really pretty perfect. It's such an important place to so many couples, sometimes it's just as perfect as a photography spot! We then went to a nearby trail along Plaster Creek and got some nature photos of the two of them. I'm in LOVE!

I am so excited for their wedding in a few months, and it's going to be more nature and happiness, what could be better?

^Home sweet home!

^Even though the irises weren't blooming yet, they still work in this shot!

^This little friend was not worried about us much at all!

^PERFECT spot!

^Absolutely adorable.

Tyler & Family (Grand Rapids Newborn Photography)

May 22, 2020

Another newborn? Yes, please! It was my pleasure to meet another little one, who just joined another familiar family. This time it was Big Brother Jacob's baby brother, Tyler! This little cutie was ready for his close up right away, and though he may not have felt that way the entire time, we managed to get a few cute shots of him, Mom and Dad, with lots of Jacob thrown in during the in-between moments when Tyler needed something to eat. I don't think I mind these outdoor newborn sessions to much after all!

It was a pleasure working with your family, Heather and Dan. I'm glad we were able to get Nellie involved too. What a nice big sister she is!

^Nellie popped in for a quick shot in this one!

^"I'm ready for my close up!"

^Dad's are so silly!

^Piggies!

Margot & Family (Grand Rapids Family Newborn Photographer)

May 21, 2020

Isn't she the most precious little thing? I haven't done many newborn sessions outside, but because of social distancing, we had to make it work. Little Margot was born in the middle of May and she was more than happy to take a quick snooze in the backyard on a fuzzy blanket, surrounded by beautiful lilacs (thanks Alyssa from Fleurology!) on a absolutely gorgeous day.

While little Margot slept, I was able to catch up with her mom, Nicole, play catch with Zoey, and hear the latest animal sounds from big brother Blake. Kennedy was there too, being all cute and curly, and generally just adding some adorableness to the whole thing. What a fun at-home session!

I've been lucky to have the chance to watch this family grow since Blake turned "1". I can't wait to see them again, we've made it an annual thing and I look forward to it every year!

^At home sessions just have a little something else that is so special!

^Baby smiles!!!

^Girl, me too ;)

^The proud older siblings!

^We've got to give Zoey a little love too!

^Daddy Brandon calms down little Margot :D

^Moms are so special.

^This guy is so much fun, EVERY time I see him!
