Backyard Prettiness: Part One, Two & Three

May 16, 2015

This year, our yard is really getting a chance to grow to it's full potential. Next year will be even better as we should be finishing the bulk of the planting soon, but for now, check out our spring pretties... I'll be updating again soon so you can see what other fun flowers and plants we'll have with the next season!

^Most of our lilac brushes are a little sparse, but the few flowers we have sure smell beautifull!

^Mike planted a rose garden last year and they are already looking beautiful!

^The fresh rain droplets didn't hurt for photos either ;)

^An early bumblebee is already pollenating the rhododendrons.

^From this... to this!!!

^What's left of our tulips are dying out, ready for the next plants to grow!

^Even the weeds are pretty sometimes ;)

^Any guesses what these babies will be in the next installment? I know :)

^These babies have a ways to go, but they are already pretty. They didn't bloom last year!

^Watch for my next post. Can't wait to share the next set of flowers that grow!

It doesn't take long for more pretty things to come in! Here, only 10 days later, we have some new growth! Check out the irises and a few other great items that are now making an appearance.

^My mom's Mother's Day present to me. It's not really the garden but super pretty anyway!

^This pink iris was NOT in our garden last year, but look how awesome. Where did it come from?!

^Not sure what this is. Mike says some sort of hydrangea... I'm skeptical.

^Mike was excited about these allium bulbs. He's not sure why they aren't colored though.

^The biggest peony now. Getting ready to pop!

^Spirea on the front hill.

^Not sure what this is but oh the pretty leaves!

^My hedgehog has appeared in the backyard, thanks to my husband.

^The gardener and his baby enjoying the backyard so far!

A quick update... the irises are HUGE, the peonies are almost out and I THINK the gladiolas are coming up! That is all.

^These have appeared around the place Mike planted the gladiolas. Oh I hope this is them!

^These irises are huge... and so interesting looking.

^The peonies are just about ready to be awesome.

^Oh and a few more rosebuds have appeared!
