Keith + Marjorie: A Celtic Wedding (West Michigan Wedding Photographer)

July 20, 2012

Every wedding is fun in it's own way. But some have a certain something that really make them special. This is the case with Keith and Marjorie's wedding this past July. They chose to do a Celtic ceremony. I've never seen one, and it was actually pretty great. A Celtic ceremony is full of symbolism and really expresses the marriage bond quite well. It was great to get a little lesson in the other ways that a wedding can work.

All the details of Keith and Marjorie's wedding fell together perfectly, from the perfect setting at the White River Light Station ("Help raise awareness to preserve our Michigan history!" -Marjorie) and the guys looking dapper in their attire, to the beautiful sunflower bouquets reflecting the gorgeous and sunny day and Marjorie's dress, which was absolutely stunning on her. Everything went together just perfectly. And even though the wind got a little irritating for photos, we even pulled those off.

But what was MOST refreshing about the whole day was watching Keith and Marjorie together. Even back during their engagement session, I saw Keith's interaction with Marjorie as so sweet, caring and in love. And it was tenfold for both of them on their wedding day. The smiles between the two of them were so genuine and full of excitement for all that is to come for them and their family. So thank you to everyone involved at such a well-rounded, loving, and fun wedding. Congratulations on your brand new life and family, Keith and Marjorie!

Couple of the Month - August

Ryan and Bethany

In honor of my least busy month (September, when Ryan and Bethany's wedding will be held), we'll feature the two of them in my busiest month, August! Ryan and Bethany are perfect together. They have a great dynamic together and get along just amazingly. I'm super excited to be shooting their wedding at the Apple Blossom Chapel and Gardens in Fennville the week after Labor Day. The place looks right up my alley, with lots of flowers and color. Fun and cute, just like Ryan and Bethany. Anyway, be sure to check out their mini-engagement session for a few more photos and stay tuned next month to see their wedding!
