Addyson: Turning One! (Grand Rapids Children's Photographer)

May 13, 2015

We've met little Addyson before. Though she's such a cutie, she didn't have hardly any smiles for me at her last session. However, she is feeling very happy to be a big one-year-old now and was nothing but smiles when I went to see her for her latest session. Even her mom, Lauren, was surprised how cheerful her little lady was for the camera.

Addyson is an adorable little miss and I had so much fun getting these great photos of her at her grandma and grandpa's house. They had a beautiful yard to work with and it was the perfect time of day for photos on top of that. Thanks for being such a sweetie and an awesome subject, Little Lady! Happy birthday!

^Oh jeez, what a cutie!!!

^She was SO excited for her photos!

^Lots of crawling action. Thankfully she didn't get mad when we kept putting her back in the spot she just left.

^Addy and her mama.

^What a good little lady!

^I can't even handle all the cuteness.

^Lovely doggy friend who apparently doesn't like to pose for photos. I got a couple, though!

^Still in a good mood, but she refused to wear the shoes Mom had for her.

^I love my Grandma and Grandpa!

^Adorable :)

Jared & Jennifer: A Country Wedding (West Michigan Wedding Photographer)

April 25, 2015

Wow, April! You surprised me this year! Not only did I end up with two weddings in a month I rarely even have one, but the weather was pretty darn impressive, especially for Michigan. Though it was a bit of a back-and-forth for Jared and Jennifer, we had more than enough good time and weather for great wedding portraits on top of all the candid shots that happened throughout the day.
I met these two last summer and it was a pleasure to work with them, from the initial meeting and engagement session, all the way to their big day. It's obvious that Jennifer worked with an awesome theme and carried it through well with all the d├ęcor creations, which is always something a photographer appreciates! My assistant, Kate, did a lot of detail shots and did a great job of capturing all the element they put all their work into. Not to mention that the food was great and everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves at the reception as well! Way to throw a party, Jared and Jennifer!
These two are a great couple, and it was definitely my pleasure to get to work with them this past year. Take a look at all the fun we had on their wedding day.

^I love how happy they are!

^Their married! Woohoo!

^Just a little bit of "wind" when we needed it!

^Wind for real!

^Probably one of my favorites of the two of them.

^Such a neat place. I took a few but I've got to thank Kate for the great detail shots!

^Ryke's Bakery never disappoints!

^What a fun group of guests! Everyone enjoyed themselves at Jennifer and Jared's wedding!

^Awesome farm sunset shots, again by the fabulous Kate (though I took that silo shot ;)
