Austin & Chelsea: Engaged! (Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer)

February 20, 2023

Over the last few years, I've had the pleasure of meeting some really great people. Finding these amazing couples is such a great experience. Chelsea and Austin would certainly fall into the category of great people. I have a few engagement sessions scheduled for February/March and the weather has just NOT been letting things go as planned, but they were the first couple I FINALLY got to meet!

We did their session at Venue3Two in Grand Rapids (such a cool place, you guys!) and from the beginning, these two really brought "the energy" as I'm sure Austin would put it. They were up for whatever, definitely having a good time and I couldn't be more excited to be their wedding photographer for their big day in November.

Thanks so much for choosing me, Chelsea and Austin! I can't wait for your wedding. If it is half as fun as the engagement session, I know it'll be a blast!

Goofing around :D I like this guy.

Snuggle!

Loving the brick on this place.

So happy!

A few more fun shots together.

Tee hee!

Action shots!

Look closely, we tried throwing snow before the photo but poor Chelsea just got hit in the face.

David & Kim: A Chicago Museum of Ice Cream Adventure (Chicago Wedding Photographer)

February 3, 2023

Sweet treats. Love. What could possibly go better together? Kim and David, who I've known for a few years now, are newer residents of Chicago, but they've found some pretty neat spots since they've been there. One of which is the Museum of Ice Cream; a sweet and VERY pink place to explore right in the heart of downtown Chicago.

After Kim and David, joined by a few close friends, made their vows to each other at the Chicago courthouse, we all met up at the Museum of Ice Cream to get our adventure started! This place is quite a location. Every room had some sort of game or treat (lots of ice cream, but a few other interesting choices as well!) and lots of cool things to see, all themed with sweets. The couple and their group of friends tried all sorts of snacks. I even got some red velvet ice cream of my own. Very good!

Best of all, though, Kim and David had a amazing day with each other and their amazing friends. Exploring and spending time with this close group was a honor for me, even with the tricky lighting! It was definitely a lot of fun, and I can't wait until next spring when they get to do more celebrating with more friends and family for their full wedding event!

Warning: MUST LOVE PINK! :D

Can't be an adventure without some spirits ;)

Congrats to the newlyweds!

02/03/2023!

Sharing is caring :D

This might have been my favorite room!

David is sitting on a hotdog, and they had ice cream hotdogs in this spot. Weird...

Special thanks to these cool people on the outside for their help with my equipment!

Less ice cream-y, more love-y :D

The final stop... Sprinkle Pool!

Wonderful!

Jumping in together like... :D

One outside shot in the 12 degree weather... thanks, you two!
