Craig & Anastasia: Engaged! (West Michigan Wedding Photographer)

August 6, 2019

What can I say about Anastasia and Craig? First of all, I was VERY excited to meet them for their session. Anastasia was very eager to get the session in when we realized our idea (sunflowers!) may only be possible for another week or so at that point. So within a week of first talking to her, we were meeting up. She and Craig are so lovey and cute together. Their photos were very candid and full of really bright and silly smiles. After our sunflower photos, we went to Rosy Mound in West Olive, which is a place Anastasia said she has known for a long time she would want to do engagement photos someday. I hadn't been there myself in years so since we were having a good time together, being silly, following turkeys and talking about our cats, we decided to make the hike to Lake Michigan through the woods at Rosy.

On a gorgeous evening like it was, despite the sweat, it was well worth the hike. Some of our favorite shots came from that leg of our session and even if we ended up shooting a lot later than planned, nobody was sorry about it.

These two are getting married next August and I pretty much can't wait to work with them again!!!

^When I first pulled up, the sunflowers looked tiny but we were pleasantly surprised once we got into them.

^Awwwwww!

^This photo is SO perfect!

^The perfect colors for engagement session: part 2!

^Long... walk... phew!

^Love EVERYTHING about these two shots.

Dell & Erica: Engaged! (Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer)

August 7, 2019

So many engagement sessions lately and I'm really not sorry about it at all!

Meet Erica and Dell, who are getting married next April. Erica and I had only talked online up until their session so I was very excited to meet them for the first time. I love getting to know couples this way, as you always find little similarities about you and gett to relate to one another one-on-one! Or one-on-two I suppose ;)

Anyway... they met me in East GR's Gaslight Village to wander down Wealthy and over toward Reeds Lake for a bit, to finally finish over at Jersey Junction for a quick treat. We treated this session sort of like a cute little date, and we even had some ducks join for a few shots!

I had a great time getting to know Erica and Dell and I'm so thrilled that I get to photograph their wedding next year and celebrate with their friends and family! They have a great dynamic together and look how cute they are, too! It's going to be a good one, guys! You just wait and see.

^Too adorable right off the bat!

^Favorite!!!

^The ducks came mooching, hoping we had snacks.

^Dessert time!

Three Generations (Grand Rapids Portrait Photographer)

August 2, 2019

Nothing is more exciting to me than getting to see multiple fabulous ladies get made up and dressed up so they are EXTRA fabulous and spend time together in the studio! A great way to make it happen is to grab the women in your family and put together a generations photo shoot, and that's just what Kellee, Donna, and Kennedy did.

I first met these women back in 2012 when Kellee was getting married up in Charlevoix. Since then, I've seen her and her husband, Leo, a few times, but when she said she was interested in a generations GLAM shoot, I was thrilled! Kellee, her mom, Donna, and daughter, Kennedy, met up at About Face of Grand Rapids to get their hair and makeup done, then met me back at the studio to dress up and pose.

These shoots are so much fun. No matter how many women, the interactions are just great, and the photos are priceless. I would encourage any family (or even group of friends!) to get together and schedule a fabulous GLAM shoot sometime soon. It'll be an experience you won't regret or forget!!!

Thanks Donna, Kellee, and Kennedy for getting GLAM with me! I had an absolute blast with you lovely ladies!

^Just a couple casual shots before we go GLAM.

^SPARKLES!!!

^Work it, ladies!

^Catwalk!
