The final wedding of my BIG June wedding streak was this fabulous event with Kenny and Megan. I first met the two of them last fall for their engagement session. They were a cool couple, definitely, but I had no idea how much awesomeness their wedding would hold!
I met Megan and the ladies of her bridal party at the salon. It was going to be a long day, but it was by no means all that rough with so many great people around. Megan herself was even helping me with her dress photos. She was such a fabulously easy-going bride! After the ladies were all beautified, we headed off to the church to finish getting ready. I met the guys and my second, Mandy, there just before the ceremony.
Finally it was photo time! One of the bridesmaids set us up to go to New Hotel Merten's in downtown Grand Rapids for some rooftop hanging out. This afforded some time for some cool photos way above the city, what with the gorgeous day we were having. After that, we headed to Blythefield for photos on their beautiful grounds. Then... party time.
This group of people certainly knows how to have a good time. Kenny's family is very musically inclined and there was to polka music in addition to some jazz and rock from Kenny's mom, dad, brother and Kenny himself. Next, Kenny's band, Rebel Swain, then took over for a few tunes before turning it over to another great local band, Three's a Crowd (who we had the pleasure of a quick but enjoyable dinner with!). Between all the dancing, we were even able to sneak out with the bride and groom for sunset photos which turned out simply stunning, so all in all, a pretty much perfect end to a perfect day!
Congrats to the two of you, Kenny and Megan. I am so glad I got to be a part of your wedding day!!!
