Last week, I was on vacation in the Upper Peninsula and, as usual, I loved a chance to get a few quick 'fine art' shots in while I was relaxing. Or whatever relaxing is like for a mom of two with two jobs, that is! Anyway, since my poor blog has been neglected lately, I wanted to share just a couple shots from my vacation before we get back to portraits and weddings. Enjoy!

The busiest two weeks of my year is over. So much editing to do! But I wouldn't have it any other way. I was honored to be a guest and photographer for my cousin Candy's wedding this past weekend in a place that holds a very special place in my heart (as I know it does in hers as well!). It's been a minute since I've done a beach wedding. It was a beautiful day for one as well. Last Friday in Frankfort, Mike and Sarah tied the knot with a day full of love, family and friends. Wedding season certainly is heating up! My busiest month has arrived and it was literally the HOTTEST weekend I've had to work. But I was at one of my favorite venues and the couple was great. We made it through and I wanted to share this sneak peek with you! Keep your eyes open for more soon!

Engaged: Kyle & Cara (Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer)

These two are actually ALREADY married! Although at the time of our engagement shoot, they were still just engaged ;) Kyle and Cara were in my neck of the woods on the Wednesday before their wedding so we did a quick, last-minute engagement session at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids. It was also the first time I'd met the two of them in person. As I always say (even when it's just a couple days before the wedding), it's great to do an engagement session so we know what expect from each other on the wedding day.

These two were so excited for the wedding and it was a pleasure talking to them, learning more about them as a couple and working together. Congrats on being newlyweds, Kyle and Cara. I'll have some wedding photos of them on the blog soon!
