Washington D.C.: Day Two

April 13, 2013

Our second day in DC took as all throughout the various monuments and memorials. It was kind of awesome to see these epic structures. Although there were WAY too many people, it was very fun to check them all out. It's hard to pick a favorite, although the view from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial was probably my favorite. We also walked all the way to Arlington National Cemetery (needless to day, we took the metro back!) and generally enjoyed the beautiful weather and exercise as well as the sites. This was our busiest day, so check out all the photos of the monuments and the cherry blossoms!

^One of my favorite shots, I think (other than the cherry blossoms)!

^Lincoln Memorial.

^I was pretty awestruck sitting up on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Pretty amazing.

^The Potomac River.

^Headstone at Arlington National Cemetery.

^The amphitheater at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Washington D.C.: Day One

April 12, 2013

I knew a trip to DC would require me to take lots of awesome photos. It's such a grand place, and if you've never been there, you should definitely go. It helped a lot that the weather was warm and gorgeous and also it was time for the cherry blossoms. We had so much fun! I'll spare you the silly ones of me and my friend, Judi, but here are the more photographic styled ones of our first day of the trip. Our first day consisted of visiting the Capitol, the Library of Congress, and checking out the White House. Come back tomorrow to find Day Two!

^That's me!
