Lake Michigan (West Michigan Photographer)

August 11, 2017

This past weekend, I spent a few days with my mom, aunt and sister. We got an Airbnb right on Lake Michigan (south of Grand Haven and north of Holland in West Olive) and made the trip as a gift to my mom for Mother's Day. We all had a wonderful time. Our host was amazing, the view was spectacular, and the relaxation was desperately needed. I brought my D4 along so I would have an opportunity to photograph. I hadn't really planned on doing much but the waves were so big and beautiful on Friday that I took a ton more than I expected. They are more dark and gritty images than I am used to taking but I still find them kind of intriguing so I'll share with you all too. Enjoy!

^First, ONE iPhone image :)

^It started out as beautiful views of the sunset...

^This is when it became more than just a few sunset photos.

^I fell in, so I guess it was okay to get my feet wet at this point.

^Our host says that this old wood recently appeared. I'm guessing an old shipwreck was ready to show it's face again.

^We happened to be here on the weekend of the Perseid meteor shower. So we did some stargazing.
