I definitely feel like I could get used to these small weddings. Cara and Trent chose to move their wedding up to an earlier date, and needed someone to capture their day together. I met them both a few minutes before they tied the knot but they and their families were as welcoming as if I was one of them! Cara looked beautiful, Trent is so in love, and the day was perfect. I'll have more soon but check out today's sneak peek!

Sneak Peek: Zalal & Hniangtha
July 20, 2020
Another wedding altered heavily by this year's pandemic was Zalal and Hniangtha's, but despite all the last minute changes as adjustments, they had a beautiful day to spend with their family and closest friends. There were tons of emotions and lots of music, and quite a few firsts for me as well (so many flower girls!!!)! And HUGE props to my girl, Jess Furrow, for helping me out at the last second! Can't wait to show you more but for now... check out our sneak peek from yesterday!

Gino & Taylor: Wedding in the Summer (Michigan Wedding Photographer)
June 6, 2020
Get ready for a lot of wedding goodness. Due to... well... EVERYTHING this year, a lot of my plans for wedding season have been interrupted. As I feel for all of my couples, I felt terrible at how much Taylor and Gino had to alter their original wedding plans. But all in all, it really did work out quite well, and the had TWO beautiful days that they got to spend with their closest family and friends.
On their original wedding date, I met the two of them an their immediate family at Taylor's childhood home in Lowell. We had two hours to get the two of them married and do just a bit of celebrating. The backyard was filled with dragon flies, which signify change, so that was amazingly fitting. There were lots of emotions during the ceremony and after, so though the original plan didn't work out, it was not a bad backup.
It was a beautiful day.
Fast forward about a month, and with some slightly lifted restrictions in Michigan, Taylor and Gino were able to throw an outdoor party for some of the people who were not able to be there during their wedding. Thankfully, the tent provided shade and breezes, as it was a HOT day in Howell. Let me tell you, a mask is even more uncomfortable in the heat, but we do what we have to do! Despite that, we were able to capture some amazing photos at Gino and Taylor's old high school as well as the downtown Howell area. It's so adorable, what a great spot! Kudos to Michelle, Taylor's cousin and maid-of-honor, for finding some amazing locations for us to use for photos.
Even if the original plans had to be scrapped, I doubt that Gino and Taylor regret how amazing their wedding days ended up being. I hope that all the changes that will be taking place this summer and fall will work out as well as this one did.
Congrats, Gino and Taylor! I'm so glad I got to celebrate with the two of you after all.
