Another amazing wedding. It seems I'm not short of these this year. And they are all so different from one another too! Today, I'm featuring Amanda and Thom (remember their Chicago engagement session?) and their garden party wedding that took place at the historical Henderson Castle in Kalamazoo. The location was gorgeous and the weather cleared up perfectly after a few brief showers when we were getting the bride and groom ready for their day. Couldn't ask for more.
Amanda is a creative type, so she had a lot of wonderful details and beautiful flowers. She put them together herself. They fit the theme, day, and location perfectly. These two even said their own vows during the ceremony, which I'm seeing more and more in the last year or so. It's nice to get a few insights into the couple's life this way, a little bit of humor and whole lot of real love.
Though it was hot up on the third floor, the reception was a great party and I think it's safe to say that everyone sincerely enjoyed the wedding day. Myself and Kristin included!
