Sean & Amber: An Early Autumn Wedding (Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer)

September 27, 2014

The last wedding of the year! Always bittersweet. But it couldn't have been a more beautiful day. Though there weren't a lot of fall colors out yet (although we saw some reds and oranges out on the golf course!), Sean and Amber had an absolutely perfect day for their big day. Everyone was very laid back and enjoyed the photo sessions before the ceremony. And the ceremony itself was so amazing, taking place under a huge tree, with mid afternoon sunlight filtering through... love it!

We took the golf carts out onto the golf course, which was a blast because the wedding party was having a good time. The girl from the golf course was getting a little irritated with everyone but hey, they were enjoying themselves. We got lots of great shots (the bridal party was having fun but were great subjects too, so kudos to you guys on that!) so you know I was happy about that!

Since at the time I was about 7 months pregnant, I brought two assistants with me to this wedding, so we were able to get lots of fun shots at the reception. We may have stole a cupcake or two, MAYBE, but spending the evening with this close-knit group of family and friends was certainly the biggest pleasure of the day. Congrats again to Sean and Amber. You guys were great and I wish you the very very best in the future!

^The lovely bride is ALMSOT ready!

^Nothing but gorgeous lighting for these girls.

^Our handsome groom was all about the photos!

^Not sure why I love this shot but I really do.

^That tree. Oh my gosh.

^SEE?!?! What a perfect spot to get married!!!

^Off for our bridal party portraits.

^Careful, boys!

^One of my assistants (so sorry ladies, I can't remember which one!) took this awesome shot of the ring bearer and Dad.

^This group was great to work with. Having a good time, but still ready when the shutter went off.

^Another great assistant shot, but again, I can't remember who took it! Good shot though, ladies!

^Just a TINY bit of fall color back there, if you look closely ;)

^Side note: there were chocolate banana flavored cupcakes. Holy yums.
