There's a moment in late summer where the goldenrod comes out. It's not a great time for allergy sufferers, but for us photographers, it's a pretty exciting time! Occasionally, I get lucky and get a wedding in a location where there is a HUGE field of goldenrod. I was SO lucky this year for Jake and Emily's backyard wedding! These t
wo are such an adorable pair (with an adorable little guy adding to that adorableness!) and their wedding day was a dream in regards to pretty much everything! So much gorgeous yellow. Perfect diffused light. It wasn't over 90 degrees (like my prior two weddings!). And these two are so in love with each other. So much perfection.
Emily was surrounded by her closest friends, all of whom were willing to climb right into the goldenrod for her. And Jake was so excited to be marrying this gorgeous woman. Let me point out, those of you getting married in the near future... these two did a first look AND Jake still got all choked up when he saw Emily walking down the aisle. It does NOT take away from that special moment, I promise!!!
Anyway, this was such a chill backyard wedding. We were able to get all the photos (and there were LOTS of them!) done before the ceremony and everyone was just able to relax and have a blast when the reception came around. It was such a pleasure to be a part of this one, and I'm so happy how amazing all the images turned out to be!
