Northern Ireland: Manor Elopement & Dunluce Castle (part 5)

May 4, 2023

This is it! The final chapter of my beautiful trip to Northern Ireland! I couldn't have had a better time (unless maybe I had been able to stay longer!) but all the fast and furious photo sessions were so amazing and worth it, I can't wait to be able to do something like this again!

And now it's time for the manor house and Dunluce Castle elopement! The manor house we stayed in was actually where we did the first part of the elopement story (built in the 1800s as a home and school for children before it was purchased and redone by the current owners), and it was so perfectly picturesque, it really made a perfect start to the bridal shoot with Beth and Stephen.

Next, we ventured to Dunluce Castle, though we never actually went in. We spent our time across the bluffs on a piece of property owned by a local man who hosts elopements and wedding ceremonies with an absolutely amazing view of the 16th or 17th century castle ruins. It's actually open to the public, but we were most interested in seeing it from afar. Can't blame us, can you? Similarly to a few other spots we visited in NI, Dunluce was used in Game of Thrones as the castle on Pyke of the Iron Islands, seat of the Greyjoys.

Seriously, though, guys! I keep looking at these images and saying "Are you sure you took these? These are STUNNING!" So yeah, what an amazing adventure.
