Most of the time, brides stress out about their wedding day for nothing, with everything going off without a hitch.
Jessica and Kevin weren't quite so lucky. Though the day started out fine at first (my assistant, Mandy, and I were even earlier than the bridal party!), things weren't so great for a bit! On top of key members of the ceremony getting caught in traffic, and a super hot and humid church, poor Jessica had to fight to stand up at the alter without passing out! However, her ceremony was perfect otherwise and she married the love of her life, Kevin, by the time everything was said and done. And of course, the day got better from there!
Another reason I was impressed with Jessica on her wedding day... Not only did she make her little 5 month old daughter's dress for her wedding, she also created all the bouquets, centerpieces and even did her own hair and make-up for her big day. Impressive! That all on top of wrangling two kids and a bunch of rowdy groomsmen (just kidding, guys!), this bride had it all together in the end.
We did portraits at the beautiful gardens at the reception site, and then finished them off at a park a few miles down the road. What a setting! I only wish that we would have had a little more time before we had to be back for the reception. We could have photographed for hours. These two, surrounded by friends and family (and their sweet, Bella, and silly son, Landon), had an amazing day and I was so glad I got to be part of it.
Lots of fun dancing and trying out new things at the reception on top of pumpkin spice chai lattes on the way home, how could it not have been a memorable weekend? :)
