This wedding. Not even sure where to start. I guess I'll start with Stephanie. This girl and I went through the photography program at Grand Valley together all those years ago. We were in a group together in studio photography and had a great time in those few other classes we were lucky enough to share. I was thrilled when I found out she and Alex were getting married. I was EVEN MORE thrilled when she told me that she wanted me to do her wedding. It's a little bit intimidating to do another photographer's wedding, but I thought I would be up to the challenge.
Another thing I was excited about was Stephanie's dress. Did you notice it's purple?!? And perfect in every way. I heard a little about when she picked it out and how she had tried on all the standard white and slightly tinted dresses and liked a few but when she found this gown, she lit up. It's amazing and I had a ton of fun getting to capture her in it.
Then there's their family and friends. I felt welcomed and part of the group from the beginning. Mandy and I had lots of fun at the reception and everything that led up to it. I made sure to break out the off-camera flash and with all that awesome uplighting, all the images turned out exactly how I had hoped! Everyone danced the night away, and though this big pregnant lady was exhausted by the end, I couldn't have thought of a better way to end the 2016 season!
Alex and Stephanie, you guys were a pleasure to work with and I wish you the very very best in your future. Thank you SO much for letting me be a part of your wedding.
