Nick & Brooke: A First Day of Spring Wedding (West Michigan Wedding Photographer)

March 20, 2021

First wedding of the year, hooray! It's always exciting to get a chance to photograph a couple's love, especially after a crazy year like the one we've had. There's still not a lot of normalcy to expect for 2021, but love, as always, will lead the way!

I have only known this couple for a short period of time, but it's be an absolute pleasure this whole time. They joined me for a FREEZING engagement session, and Brooke even stopped by my studio for a couple quick shots for Nick before the wedding. So much fun, energy, and love shows between these two and it's been great getting to know them, their story, and their loved ones.

The day of the wedding was also the first day of spring, which is a hit or miss on weather here in Michigan. But this year, after such a cold February, it was gorgeous. That made for a great walk in downtown Grand Rapids for photos at the Blue Bridge (where Nick proposed to Brooke last year!), complete with most of their family as well. Afterwards, a small wedding was held. Though it was small and indoor receptions aren't doable just yet, it certainly didn't lack for love. Family, friends, and togetherness!

Thank you, Brooke and Nick, for finding me and trusting me with your wedding day. I'm hoping that this year is an absolutely amazing one for you and your families, and wish you the most wonderful life together. Congratulations!
