Bart & Alicia: Engaged! (West Michigan Wedding Photographer)

Alicia and Bart found me through their venue (Baker Lofts in Holland, yay!) and they booked their March wedding with me after lots of emails and a Zoom meeting a few months back. I'm always excited to chat and "meet" a couple but it's so much better to see them in person for the first time. And I'm so, so glad that I got to do that with these two. During their session, I realized how great the two of them are and how well we all vibe together. They are also absolutely adorable as a couple and their wedding is going to be great! We got really lucky with the weather as well, and I was excited to see Asylum Lake Preserve in the spring/summer instead of the winter. Still a beautiful place (not surprised!).

More proof my couple is amazing... I accidentally left my lights on from driving through the INSANE rain on the way to the session, and they were thankfully willing to stay with me and help until we got my battery back on line. You guys are the best!

Sneak Peek: Kris & Tricia

If you were ANYWHERE in Michigan this weekend, you know that it was WET. I felt so bad for all the brides and grooms who chose this weekend for their wedding as it just was not what a lot of you were hoping for. But kudos to every single one of them who made the most of it despite the dreary weather. One such couple was Kris and Tricia. They didn't let any of the humidity or precipitation get to them as they were finally get the chance to tie the knot. Even after having to wait almost a whole year longer than they originally planned, they made the most of their big day and had a great wedding! We did dodge some of the raindrops for photos and I'm not too sad about it now that all is said and done! 

Congrats, Kris and Tricia. You didn't let anything get you down and I'm so happy to have been there with you on your wedding day!

Margot and Family (West Michigan Family Photographer)

Miss Margot is now a big one-year-old and it was great seeing her and the family again. For THIS particular shoot, however, Margot brought her extended family (as well as her mom, dad, brother, sister and dog, Zoey) to hang out with me! The kids did great and it was fun meeting more members of Nicole's family. I love seeing the Beukemas every year, so this was an extra great get together.

We made sure to get a few extra shots of little Margot since the inspiration for this shoot was her turning "one", and she did a great job. What a happy little lady! Happy birthday again to Miss Margot, and I hope to see you all again in 2022!
