Late October never looked so good! It's very rare you get an absolutely perfect day as we did for Zak and Shelby's wedding so far into the month. Sunshine, warm temperatures got together with the turning fall colors to make for a stunning backdrop for their outdoor fall wedding. It was an absolutely wonderful day all around!
This particular wedding was especially an honor for me. I met Shelby when she and I were much younger, back when I was working my summer job at her grandparents' mini golf and go-kart business in my hometown. Shelby would often visit her grandparents during the summer and hang out with us while we worked during the day. It was always a little extra fun when Shelby came. Even when she was young, she was a very mature and smart girl and broke up those long summer days for us a bit.
Though I didn't keep in close contact with her over the years since then, when she first contacted me about her upcoming wedding, I was so very thrilled to get the chance to see Shelby, her future husband and the familiar faces from her family again. In addition to that, it was wonderful meeting Zak's family and getting to know their friends as well. This wedding was beautiful in so many ways!
After a couple first looks and detail shots, these two were wed under the fall sunshine and we made sure to get tons of beautiful, colorful portraits of the two of them before the reception. What a party it was; a few tears shed, lots of laughs, and so much dancing! It was a perfect wedding for the last weekend of my season (even though I wasn't quite done yet ;) )
Congrats Zak, Shelby and your whole entire families. It was very much my pleasure to be a part of your day and I am so very honored you chose me for the role!
