Sometimes, the most exciting weddings are the non-traditional ones!
Kim and David made their relationship official in February 2023, and we celebrated by exploring the Museum of Ice Cream in downtown Chicago. They wanted to make sure their family and friends could join in the festivities, so they hosted a delightful event at the beginning of May.
It was a gorgeous (and warm!) day in Chicago. We started at the couple's home and then met up with everyone at the beautiful Garfield Park Conservatory. Here, we took stunning photos of the bride and groom before their ceremony. Afterwards, we captured tons of photos with their bridal party, family, and friends before heading to dinner in Chicago's vibrant Chinatown.
Although it wasn't a traditional reception, the event provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone to spend time together and create new memories before the couple's big move out of state. Even an unexpected thunderstorm couldn't dampen the mood (although our feet did get a little wet on the way to the restaurant!).
Last but certainly not least, the couple hosted a small afterparty at Kim's favorite aerial fitness studio, Fly Club. Guests enjoyed a boba tea bar, played some Beyblades, and try out the silks, poles, and hoops! What a fun and memorable day it was.
