Finding incredible couples like Matt and Mary is always such a blessing. I first had the pleasure of photographing them during their engagement session last fall. At that time, they were still finalizing details for their big day, but everything soon fell into place beautifully, and I was thrilled to be a part of their wedding journey.
For her bouquet, Mary made a deeply personal choice by selecting purple roses—symbolic of the first flowers Matt ever gave her. She also incorporated calla lilies as a tribute to her grandmother, adding an extra layer of sentimentality to her stunning floral arrangement. The atmosphere while getting ready was full of excitement, with just a touch of nerves, but the day truly unfolded flawlessly!
Matt and Mary chose St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Byron Center for their ceremony, but rather than the newer building, they opted for the historic church. Its classic beauty and the rich history within its walls added to the personal feeling of their day. One of the most anticipated moments was when the doors opened and Matt saw Mary for the first time as she walked down the aisle—a moment filled with happy tears and joy.
After capturing some beautiful photos with their wedding party, we headed to the reception, where friends and family eagerly awaited the newlyweds. Matt and Mary shared their first dance together, a perfect reflection of their love for one another. Mary was glowing throughout the day, and though Matt started out a bit nervous, his happiness to begin this new chapter with his bride was unmistakable!
Matt and Mary, thank you both so much for allowing me to capture your special day! I wish you endless happiness in your life together!
