Josh & Monica's Wedding

October 3, 2009

I met Josh and Monica back in June for their engagement session. As fall rolled around, it was finally time for their wedding! I made it to their rehearsal the night before and was happy to find that although the church was a little small, it was nicely painted and had lots of good decorations. Rain was in the forecast for most of the day of their wedding, so I was hoping for some good indoor locations!

As expected, it did rain. We didn't get many photos in before the ceremony because Josh and Monica didn't want to see each other until she was walking down the aisle. We did take a few of the bride beforehand though. She told me that she got her dress for under $200 on eBay! Not to mention she picked out the style AND they fitted it for her too! Why hasn't anyone else heard of this deal??!? Check it out, future brides!

After the wedding, we did some photos of the bridal party and low and behold! The rain stopped and we got to go outside after all! I sure do love it when that happens. We had to skirt the areas that were still very damp, but it worked out. I even got an AMAZING shot of Josh and Monica in front of the church (holding an umbrella for effect :) with a BEAUTIFUL blue sky behind them! Love that one! Check it out below.

Josh helped me out with this wedding and it was sadly the last for us this year. Also unfortunately, his D80 shot it's final wedding as it finally wore out from all the shooting Josh does (with me and of his own). The camera will be missed but he'll make a comeback soon enough.

Anyways, thanks again to Josh and Monica, and congratulations on the day that turned out pretty darn nice after all! Have a great life together!
