What is love? It's a lot of things... sweet glances, kisses, hand holding, big smiles. Love is also putting up with having your photo taken for two hours because your beautiful fiance wants to. All of those things are what Karie and her husband-to-be, Torrey, have going for them. And while they may not be getting married for a couple of years yet, Karie was eager to capture their love "on film."
A beautiful spring day at BJ Thome Orchards in Comstock Park was the backdrop for our engagement session, and what a perfect day it was. There was a bit of a breeze, but that didn't stop us from exploring the orchard and enjoying the beautiful blossoms. And it was perfect timing too, as they were early and were only good for another couple of days.
Torrey and Karie's love is so refreshing to see, and has me geared up for all the other engagement sessions I have to look forward to this spring. Enjoy today's post... there is a LOT of it!

^The blossoms were 35 days early this year, due to a warm snap back in March, according to Bernie Thome, who owns the orchard. He's been doing his bes to keep the blossoms safe and warm throughout April and we wish him luck! |

^Pollination in progress. |
^Gorgeous! |
^And here we can see Karie's lovely ring! |

^Love this one. |

^I bought a new action set for this session, so you'll see lots of toning... here's one! |
^Balloons on a breezy day are not always that easy to manage. |
^Something funny... |
^Time for an outfit change... and I love this color combo! |
^Karie spotted this tree as we drove by, so we had to go back to capture it! |
^Love it! Playing with the focus is always fun. |
^This one is probably my very favorite! |

^Karie saw this tractor and SO wanted to climb on, but I wasn't sure. But we ran into Bernie and chatted for awhile and he was totally happy to let us use "his baby" for a few shots. |
Below is the balloon releasing series we did at the end of the session. Enjoy!
